Cell and Gene at AbbeyCell and Gene at the Abbey

Production, Scale-up and Global Harmonisation

Welcome to the ‘Cell and Gene at the Abbey’ conference; organised by HiTech Health in association with our sponsors Cellexus, ChemoMetec, Miltenyi Biotec, Sexton Biotechnologies, Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies and VivaBioCell.

Cell and Gene Therapy products are at the forefront of regenerative medicine to solve the unmet need of patients. This are complex manufacturing processes, and many challenges exist within the field. During this conference and workshop we will explore different manufacturing strategies for numerous CGT products, such as CAR-T, NK Cells, MSCs, Viral Vectors and combination products.

We have a very exciting list of speakers with 3 of the Power List 2020 in Advanced Medicines speaking at the event; Bruce Levine, Massimo Dominici and Qasim Rafiq. Not stopping there we have speakers from some of the most influential institutes and companies in the CGT field as well as regulatory input from the HPRA. Our closing session is focused on investments from the point of a VC and a company who recently raised.  The workshop will focus on new technologies in the field and allow attendees get hands-on demonstrations of the technologies.

Attendees will leave this even having a greater understanding of the challenges the industry faces regarding both manufacturing, scale-up and supply chain, and how we can overcome them,  as well as regulatory requirements and experiences from our array of expert speakers.

Not alone that but the conference is set in the majestic and spectacular 5 stars Glenlo Abbey Hotel in Galway, where speakers and attendees mingle together over fireside drinks and dinners on both evenings, something that makes this meeting a unique networking event.
