IT Administrator Internship
HiTech Health is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) for advanced medicines including cell and gene therapies. The company was established in 2013 in Dublin, Ireland, bringing together an experienced and multi-disciplinary team from across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Operating internationally, HiTech Health supports healthcare companies globally from the development to the launch and supply of products. HiTech Health have recently expanded into the Cell and Gene Manufacturing space and have opened a new Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) cleanroom facility in Tully, Co. Galway.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to intern with a growing organisation and be deeply involved in driving IT administration activities. The intern will have the opportunity to develop, enhance and deliver the IT infrastructure with particular focus on the HiTech Health CDMO facility based in Galway. The intern will work alongside an external IT company to support IT administration locally within the facility.
Responsibilities: (Note: all responsibilities will be carried out in conjunction with the external IT service provider).
- Support the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, servers and data security systems locally.
- Support troubleshooting IT administration issues on site through effective communication with the external IT service provider and HTH personnel.
- Support HiTech Health personnel with basic needs such as running backups, security and passwords.
- To assess present IT infrastructure and administration procedures, identify potential issues and provide recommendations.
- Maintain, repair and upgrade operating system including hardware and software.
- Monitor the performance of existing computer systems and IT infrastructures.
Requirements:
- Applicants have to be a current or graduate of an IT / Computer Science related degree.
- Understanding of IT administration and computer systems.
- Desire to learn about facility IT infrastructure and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Start Date: On completion of recruitment process.
Completion Date: Internship will conclude 9 months after the start date.
